Nickel-metal hydride batteries - p. 2

Ni-MH batteries (Nickel-Metal Hydride) are alkaline batteries. They are current sources of a chemical type, where nickel oxide acts as a cathode, and a hydrogen metal hydride electrode acts as an anode. Alkali is an electrolyte.

NiMH batteries have a long shelf life and are the cheapest battery type on a per cycle basis. Batteries can withstand up to 2000 cycles.

According to IEC classification, lithium batteries are marked on the case - NiMH, Ni-MH, LSD Ni-Mh, Alcaline HR.
