Palm is an electronics brand founded in 1992 in the USA that has become famous for its mobile devices and PDAs (personal digital assistants). The original Palm device was the first commercially successful PDA that combined portability and functionality.
Palm has set new standards in portable computing with the innovative Palm OS operating system. Palm devices were compact, lightweight, user-friendly, and provided a wide range of features, including a calendar, address book, tasks, notes, PC synchronization, and other applications.
In 2010, Hewlett-Packard (HP) acquired Palm and integrated Palm's technology and intellectual property into its products. Later, in 2014, some former Palm employees founded Palm, Inc. in order to revive the brand and develop new products.
